david lanier graduated from the university of florida with a b.s.b.a. in finance and obtained his m.b.a. from the university of central florida. prior to the establishment of his own firm, he was employed by ernst and ernst, an international c.p.a. firm. he is president of lanier and company, p.a., a full service certified public accounting firm located in sanford, florida. the firm was established in 1975 and provides a full range of accounting services.
david is a certified specialist in estate planning, a designation awarded by the national institute for excellence in professional education, llc in conjunction with the florida institute of certified public accountants and various other state societies. the csep designation is achieved through the completion of an intensive series of integrated courses on the subject of estate planning, providing the practical knowledge necessary to ensure the best possible service to the general public.
david is a former professor of the university of central florida and authored the tax section of the university of central florida c.p.a. review course. he presents numerous seminars throughout central florida each year to diversified audiences. he previously served as president of the sanford kiwanis club, chairman of the seminole county industrial development authority, treasurer of the central florida zoological society, treasurer of the seminole county united way, chairman of the board of directors of the seminole county port authority, and on the safeguard business systems c.p.a. national advisory board.
